The Barrington Great Spring Clean Friday 22 and Saturday 23 March 2019

The Keep Britain Tidy Campaign runs an annual nationwide event, The Great British Spring Clean – for the second year running Barrington is taking part. Haslingfield villagers have been invited to join the Barrington team to help clean Barrington Hill on Friday 22^nd March.
If anyone from the village want to help out on Friday 22nd March and wants to start the hill clean from Haslingfield please let Mick Norman know and he will bring some picking stuff over from Barrington. Otherwise please meet at the Barrington Village Hall at 09 30 am.

Planned Power Cut – 13th March

There is a planned power cut in parts of Haslingfield between 8:30-16:30 on 12th/13th March. This forms part of essential maintenance to replace wooden poles and power lines along the High Street and Harston Road.
Households affected will have received a notification.

Cambridge to Oxford railway proposals

Councillors are urging communities to have their say on proposed routes a new railway line between Cambridge and Oxford may take across South Cambridgeshire.
Routes for consultation published by East West Rail include options that could include a new station near Cambourne or Bassingbourn. To find out more about the Cambridge to Oxford railway proposals and routes for consultation, visit https://eastwestrail.co.uk/haveyoursay
Public consultation will run from 28 January to 11 March 2019.
