Roman Catholic Community
Haslingfield now lies in Our Lady of Lourdes and Saint John Fisher Parish, which was established on the 2nd of January 2018 and offers pastoral care for more than 50 villages around Cambourne and Sawston areas. The Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Sawston is the base for the Parish Priest. The recently refurbished church continues the unbroken Catholic worship in Sawston since before the Reformation. The community of the St. John Fisher RC Church Cambourne shares the Cambourne church centre building with other Christian denominations. (www.ololandsjfparish.org)
Some Haslingfield Catholic residents are active in and attend the parish of Our Lady and the English Martyrs (OLEM) Hills Road Cambridge, which used to include Haslingfield within its ministry. The liturgy at OLEM reflects the diversity of Cambridge and the widespread rural area that the parish serves. For full details of the different Masses in Cambridge and at Bar Hill and Fen Ditton visit the website: http://www.olem.org.uk/
In 2010 some Catholics in Haslingfield felt the need for a group where village Catholics could get to know each other as well as joining in the Christian life of the village. The result is Haslingfield Catholic House Group which meets six times a year for Evening Prayer or Mass. We welcome all who wish to worship with us. For more details see the village magazine.
