The Skate Park is now showing a lot of wear and tear and one of the pieces of equipment was removed over the Christmas period. We should now decide what is the future of this very important facility for the village. Anyone is welcome to come along to this first meeting, please do bring any ideas or comments you may have and we look forward to seeing you.

The speaker will be Professor Andrew Klein, Macintosh Professor of Anaesthesia, Royal Papworth Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust, who will speak on What do you know about iron? – (a talk about iron deficiency.)

His talk on ‘communicating health risks and scientific uncertainty’, is sure to be entertaining, informative and fun! Haslingfield Little Theatre would like to invite you to a Rehearsed Play Reading of Travels with my Aunt by Graham Greene, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal. It will take place from 7.30 pm on Friday 6 March at Haslingfield Village Hall.
The play concerns Henry Pulling who meets his long-lost aunt at his mother’s funeral, but has no idea of the whirlwind of exotic adventures that lie ahead of him. Read more
The Film Club tomorrow evening (Friday 14th February) will be at 7.30pm and will show a picture suitable for St. Valentine’s day! (Certificate PG) We shall meet in Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms. Admission is free. Running time of the film is 92min and we break for tea, coffee and biscuits half way through. ‘Hard of hearing’ subtitles will be used.
The Broad Lane pathway ( alongside Wellhouse Meadow ) from High Street to Butler Way will be closed to pedestrians and equestrians from 02/03/20 until 04/05/20 for Gas Works.

Due to building work at the village hall the Village Society meeting tomorrow, Tuesday 21st January will be held in All Saints’ Church, Haslingfield at 8.00pm.

A talk by Jason Skelton, an Advanced Research Assistant at the Wellcome Genome Campus near Hinxton just south of Cambridge.
