Over the last two weeks we’ve seen a big increase in the number of pre orders, putting the village within touching distance of the target required to green light the project.
Although this is great news, we still need as many people as possible to register for the service actually to make it a reality. If you’ve signed up for the service already please spread the word to your neighbours, friends and family. And if you’re interested and haven’t signed up as of yet, please head over to www.countybroadband.co.uk and enter your post code.

The Highways Department at the County Council have informed us that the footpath linking New Road with Trinity Close will be closed for repairs between Tuesday 24 and Thursday 26 November.

Cambridge Approaches have made some progress since our last round of webinars back in September. We would like to do an updated webinar initially for residents of The Eversdens, Harlton, Haslingfield and Harston and in conjunction with parish councillors from these villages. Read more
Quiz masters Hannah and James Roberts are returning for another virtual quiz night on You Tube Live at 8pm. This event is aimed at adults and the theme is the 80s and 90s. Join as an individual, couple or a team (maximum of 6). Arrange your own team communications on an app such as Zoom or WhatsApp.
There is no fixed price for joining in but we are asking for a donation of whatever you can spare. Our aim is to raise £1000 for the PTFA and Haslingfield Little Owls. First prize is half a dozen bottles of wine (Thank you Offord and Camp!) and a cash donation given to the charity of your choice. Read more

We are pleased to report that the repairs to the playground have now been completed and it will re-open on the morning of Saturday 7 November.

An advance notice from Streetworks at the County Council has informed us that New Road will be closed to vehicles from Wednesday 9th to Friday 11th December 2020 to carry out work on a new water connection. A diversion notice via High Street and Church Street will be placed at each end of the road.
