Road closure – New Road and Cantelupe Road 18 October 2021

There will be carriageway resurfacing works on New Road and Cantelupe Road for 3 days from 18 October 2021.

New Road and Cantelupe Rd will be closed to through traffic during the works.  Access to properties will be maintained throughout but patience is requested at certain times as machinery may need to be moved.  A diversion will be in place for all through-traffic, and this is shown on the attached plan in blue.  Road closure locations will be at each end of New Road with access only for residents.  Map of carriageway works 18 October 2021

Haslingfield Choir and Orchestra Concert: All Saints’ Church – Saturday 16th October

On Saturday 16th October at 3pm, Haslingfield Choir and Orchestra will be performing at All Saints’ Church, Haslingfield. The concert will include the World Premier of ‘Haslingfield Tapestry’ by Alex Paxton and will feature a combined children’s choir from Haslingfield and surrounding villages. 
 
Admission will be by ticket only, available at Haslingfield village shop.

M11 closures – September and October 2021

Please be aware of the following closures on the M11 over the next few weeks.

M11 junction 8 to 10 northbound full closure on Wednesday 29 September between 10pm and 5am.  (Northbound traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 8 onto the A120, A10 and the A505 and re-join the M11 at junction 10.) 

M11 junction 8 to 10 northbound hard shoulder closure 24/7 from 29 September to 14 October.

M11 junction 8 to 10 northbound lane 1 closure – 8pm to 6am from 4 October to 14 October.

Stormy skies.  Welcome to Autumn!  Quiet week ahead on the food van front.  Staff shortage issues!  Nevertheless, feel free to walk up and panic order on Thursday and Friday!!!  Thursday (30/9): Cook’s Nest.  Lovely Greek Gyros. Walk up orders only.  Friday (1/10): La Biga pizza as usual.  Saturday (2/10) and Sunday (3/10): Not operating.
