Saturday (15/1): The Wandering Yak and their 100% plant based flavour sensations! Pre orders only.
National Highways will be carrying out essential drainage replacement work on the M11 between junctions 10 and 13. Once complete, the road will be able to better disperse surface water and will be less prone to flooding. They plan to complete this work over 4 weeks from Wednesday 12 January to Tuesday 8 February, weather conditions permitting. For a map of the diversions, please click here.

It is the last week before Christmas and also the last week of food van service at the Haslingfield village hall for 2021. Many thanks to all the food vans that have filled bellies and put smiles on the faces of the Haslingfield, Harlton and surrounding villages in 2021! South Cambridgeshire District Council has informed us that green bin collections are being suspended from Monday (13 December) because of the number of drivers and loaders absent – particularly with Coronavirus or self-isolating. Key points to note are:
Green bin collections are planned to resume on Wednesday 12 January 2022 in line with the previously published Christmas schedule.
Crews are working hard to complete green bin rounds that are scheduled for the rest of this week. The message for the rest of this week is to put your green bin out as normal. If it is not collected on your usual collection day, leave it out, and it will be emptied by the afternoon of Tuesday 14 December.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas around our streets! Well done everyone! There will be a full closure on the M11 between junctions 8 and 10 northbound on Monday 6 December overnight from 11pm to 5amto install narrow lanes directly under the footbridge on the northbound carriageway. Northbound traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 8 onto the A120, A10 and the A505 before re-joining M11 at junction 10.

The Pub Quiz at the Little Rose is back! It will take place tonight (Friday 26th November) with a prompt 8pm start. Teams of any number, up to a maximum of four, can take part. Cost of entry is only £2 per per person with all the entry fees given out as cash prizes. First Question asked at 8pm. Just turn up on the night or book in advance. We can also make up teams from whoever turns up on the night. It’s great fun with a good number of all local teams taking part. There’s 6 rounds covering many topics including a topical quiz round as well as a picture round. The quiz finishes around 10
