As you may have seen in recent press the University of Cambridge has committed to achieving a science-based zero carbon target for its estate by 2048. As part of its efforts to achieve this target, the University is hoping to build a solar farm on land to the south east of the Lordsbridge Radio telescope, to provide low carbon electricity to service the University’s estate and significantly reduce their carbon emissions. Ahead of a planning application being made hopefully later this year, they are launching a public consultation to obtain views and inform the scheme design.

A scheme to provide holiday childcare, activities and food for children in Cambridgeshire is now taking bookings for the summer holidays.
