NEW Message from Pop at the Village Shop

Update on deliveries: We have the system in place now so anyone who needs delivery can create an account with us by paying in advance i.e. £100 (cash). Then whatever your total shopping bill will be deducted from your account. (Best way to keep everyone safe). All the receipts will be provided with each delivery so you can keep record as well. If this doesn’t suit you and you have a better idea we can discuss that. Read more

Rehearsed Play Reading: Travels with my Aunt – 6 March

Haslingfield Little Theatre would like to invite you to a Rehearsed Play Reading of Travels with my Aunt by Graham Greene, adapted for the stage by Giles Havergal. It will take place from 7.30 pm on Friday 6 March at Haslingfield Village Hall.

The play concerns Henry Pulling who meets his long-lost aunt at his mother’s funeral, but has no idea of the whirlwind of exotic adventures that lie ahead of him. Read more

CHANGE OF SPEAKER & VENUE: This Tuesday’s Village Society Event

Due to building work at the village hall the Village Society meeting tomorrow, Tuesday 21st January will be held in All Saints’ Church, Haslingfield at 8.00pm.   

There is also a change to the advertised speaker and topic, which will now be: Genomic Revolution  ….   and you! A talk by Jason Skelton, an Advanced Research Assistant at the Wellcome Genome Campus near Hinxton just south of Cambridge.  Home to the Sanger Institute, the campus has leading scientists in the fields of genomics and biodata. Regarding our next production, we will not be putting on a play this May because of extension work at the Village Hall, but look forward to welcoming audiences to our November 2020 show in the newly-extended Hall!

TICKETS ON SALE ON SATURDAY: LITTLE THEATRE PANTO

Tickets for the Haslingfield Little Theatre Panto, Sleeping Beauty by Ben Crocker will be on sale tomorrow morning, Saturday 19 October. Performance dates are 21, 22, 23 November at 7.30 pm at Haslingfield Village Hall, plus matinee performance at 2.30 pm on 23 November.

You’ll be able to buy them tomorrow at: www.haslingfieldlittletheatre.co.uk and they will also be available from The Village Shop and Country Kitchen.

PIANIST WANTED: Haslingfield Little Theatre’s Next Show!

We are looking for a pianist for our next show, the Pantomime Sleeping Beauty, which we are performing on 21, 22 & 23 November at Haslingfield Village Hall.

Do You Want To Raise Money For Your Favourite Charity?

Haslingfield Methodist ChurchThe annual Charity Fair will be held in the Methodist Church on Saturday 16th November from 11 am to 2.30 pm.
If you would like to run a stall for a charity, you are invited to apply to Christine Kipping, 1 Stearne’s Yard, before Saturday 5th October. There is limited space and we would like there to be a fair representation of registered charities selling a wide variety of goods, so be imaginative!! Read more
