Little Rose Opening Hours
This Friday 26th May sees the next Little Rose Pub Quiz, which takes place on the last Friday of every month. Start the Bank Holiday weekend by testing your knowledge. Teams of any number, up to a maximum of six, can take part. Cost of entry is only £10 per team with all the entry fees given out as cash prizes. First Question asked at 8pm. Just turn up on the night or book in advance. We can also make up teams from whoever turns up on the night. The quiz now takes place on the last Friday of every month so next month’s quiz will be on Friday 30th June. It’s great fun with a good number of all local teams taking part. There’s 6 rounds covering many topics including a topical quiz round as well as a picture round. The quiz finishes around 10pm with a break halfway through.
Doors open at 7.00 pm tonight (Haslingfield Village Hall) for the first night of our hilarious production – Black Comedy by Peter Shaffer and Bride before a Fall by Robert Scott (7.45 pm start). Police are urging residents to be vigilant and to look out for elderly relatives and neighbours following a spate of distraction burglaries in Cambridge City.
Most of the burglaries have involved criminals claiming to be either police officers or Neighbourhood Watch members.
The burglaries happened on Saturday (May 13) in Emery St. and Russell Ct, yesterday in New St. and at about 6a.m. Monday (May 15) in James St.

Following the ransomware cyber attack on Friday 12 May which affected the NHS and is believed to have affected other organisations globally, the City of London Police’s National Fraud Intelligence Bureau has issued an alert urging both individuals and businesses to follow protection advice immediately and in the coming days.
Ransomware is a form of malicious software (Malware) that enables cyber criminals to remotely lock down files on your computer or mobile device. Criminals will use ransomware to extort money from you (a ransom), before they restore access to your files. There are many ways that ransomware can infect your device, whether it be a link to a malicious website in an unsolicited email, or through a security vulnerability in a piece of software you use.
