A massive “Thank you” to everyone who supported the Foodbank in 2017, and especially those who brought so many wonderful Christmas treats along to the Charity Fair and the Village Shop.
As the gap between the “haves” and the “have nots” has increased and the need for Foodbanks is as important as ever, there will continue to be collection points at the Village Shop (where we really appreciate their support) and the Methodist Church this year. Read more
The Charity Fair, organised by Haslingfield Methodist Church, was as popular as ever and the church was packed with people buying from the stalls of the 17 charities and then enjoying delicious home-made refreshments. As well as being a collecting point for shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, there was also an area where people were able to leave items for the Cambridge Foodbank.
An amazing £2,797.50 was raised at the Fair and we would like to thank everyone for their support for these worthy charities.
Do come along to the Pop-Up Coffee Shop at the Methodist Church from 8:45 – 11:30am tomorrow, 9 January which will be raising funds for Home-Start Royston & South Cambridgeshire, a charity which helps local families in need of practical and emotional support.
Come along for fairtrade tea, coffee, cakes, pastries, whilst supporting this worthwhile charity at the same time. More info at: www.hsrsc.org.uk
