The Blue Skies Big Band will be playing at Haslingfield Village Hall again on Saturday 7 October for a one-night only “Jazz Special”. The concert will raise funds for Parkinsons UK.

The first Film Club meeting of the 2017-18 session will be held on Friday 15th September 2017 at 7.30pm. We shall meet in Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms. Admission is free. Running time 100 min. Certificate: 12+. We break for tea, coffee and biscuits, half way through. ‘Hard of hearing’ subtitles will be used. Read more
Come and enjoy a traditional cream tea with freshly-baked scones, jam and cream this Sunday 3 September between 2.30 p.m. and 5.30 p.m in the informal woodland garden of The Dovecote 29 High Street, Haslingfield. All proceeds to Parkinson’s UK.
For all children, please note there will be a funfair on the recreation ground in Harston.

This August Bank Holiday Monday 28th August the Village Shop will be open from 8am until 4pm and the Post Office counter will be closed. The rest of the weekend sees the normal opening hours.

The Hare and Hounds Steering Group are delighted to tell you that they have now exchanged contracts on the purchase of the Hare and Hounds. They will complete on Wednesday 6th September. Unfortunately, the news on potential tenants is not as good. Their search for the right tenant continues. They will keep you informed on progress.
There will be a demonstration by the speed watch team on Saturday 2nd September at various locations in the village. If you want to meet the volunteers, see how it operates or ask them questions then please go and see them. Details are on the poster.
