Film Club
The next Film Club meeting will be held on Friday 8th December 2017 at 7.30pm. We shall meet in Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms. Admission is free. Running time of the film is 97 min, Certificate: 12+. ‘Hard of hearing’ subtitles will be used. We break for tea, coffee and mince pies, half way through.
Haslingfield Allotment Gardeners Association (HAGA) – AGM
The Haslingfield Allotment Gardeners Association (HAGA) is having their annual general meeting (AGM) on Monday 4th December in the Little Rose at 19:30. The early fire insurance companies provided the only really effective fire fighting force in most of Britain’s towns and cities for nearly 200 years, longer than Local Authority Brigades have been in existence. Patrick Baldwin, Chairman of the Fire Mark Circle, explains what happened and shows examples of fire marks and plates. Hare and Hounds, Harlton
We would like to announce that the Hare and Hounds is now open. You will find we have a good selection of beers and wine as well as soft drinks and coffee. However, the food we offer at the moment is limited as we are making alterations to the kitchen. At the moment you can purchase sandwiches, home made soup and hand-cut chips at lunch time only.

Christmas at Country Kitchen
Country Kitchen Christmas Cellar is now open for lovely festive giftware. Following the success of our Late night shopping evening on the 7 November, (with complimentary mulled wine, mince pies and sausage rolls) we will be hosting another event in the run-up to Christmas. Watch this space for details! In the meantime, please do come and see our wares, both in the cellar and the shop. We have a lovely selection of gift-ware, and will shortly be taking orders for locally sourced turkeys and gammons.
Results of the Phase 3 Traffic Calming Ballot
The votes were checked and counted by Frances Laville, Parish Clerk and Jenny Jullien, Chairman and validated against the Electoral Register. There are 1,272 people on the register of whom 500 voted, 39%.
Of the 500 votes cast;
- 182 voted YES, 36%
- 290 voted NO, 58%
- 28 votes cast were invalid.
Therefore, phase 3 of the traffic calming scheme will not be implemented.

The Haslingfield Methodist Church Charity Fair will be taking place this Saturday 18th November from 11 am – 2.30 pm. 18 National and Local charities will be having stalls where you can buy your Christmas cards, books, baubles, preserves , gifts, plants etc. 3 of these charities are new to our fair.
