Please be aware that we will be commencing carriageway resurfacing works at the above location from Monday 29th October for 5 days. The works will take place Monday – Friday during the day from 0730 – 1830.

Trad Jazz Night in the Village Hall
The Rotary Club of Cambridge South is having another Jazz Night on the 9th November at 7pm in the Haslingfield Village Hall to raise funds for Camsight. Tickets are £15 each and available from the village shop.

The Cambs Bed Rail Road working group has asked all local Parish Councils to circulate the attached information. Please note that this is not a recommendation from the Parish Council but each reader is encouraged to decide for themselves what next steps (if any) they should take.
Flu Vaccination – Wednesday 24th October
Unfortunately the surgery has not received enough vaccine and anyone aged between 65 and 75 will not be able to receive their injection tomorrow.
There are different vaccines for different ages.
The new clinic for these people will probably be in November and will advise shortly.

Haslingfield Little Theatre will be putting on the panto: Cinderella by Ben Crocker on 22, 23, and 24 November at 7.30 pm at Haslingfield Village Hall (with a matinee performance on 24 November at 2.30 pm.)

Next Village Society Talk
Literary Cambridge
Tuesday 16 October, Haslingfield Village Hall, 8:00 PM
Peter Hains will take us on a virtual tour of Cambridge, pointing out key points of interest from a literary point of view. Cambridge has a rich heritage in terms of authors, playwrights and poets and we will hear about many of them, including some readings from their works. Peter is a Haslingfield resident, a qualified Cambridge tour-guide, a retired English teacher and Headteacher, and an excellent speaker.
Traffic Calming Scheme – Barton Road
We have been advised by the Project Engineer, Highways Service, Cambridgeshire County Council that the traffic scheme agreed for Barton Road will be installed week commencing Monday 15th October 2018. The work will take roughly four days to complete.
