Haslingfield Little Theatre are delighted to be hosting another Blue Skies Big Band Concert, following their very successful performance in February. The concert will take place at Haslingfield Village Hall on Saturday 27 February 2016, and will be in aid of The Alzheimer’s Research Fund (No.1077089). Little Rose Pub
There’s a free Karaoke night this Saturday 12th December at the Little Rose Pub. The singing gets underway from 8pm and everybody is welcome. This is one of a number of special events at the village’s last pub over the festive season. The pub is also offering a three course Christmas Meal for £18-95 for adults or £10-50 for Children. Includes full vegetarian and gluten free options plus the traditional Turkey Breast and Christmas Pudding.
The next Film Club will be at 7.30pm on Friday 11th December 2015, meeting in the Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms. Admission is free. Running time 101 min. Certificate: U. We will break for mince pies etc half way through. Read more

On 20 December between 11.00 am and 1.30 pm there will be a Festive Family Fun Day and Jumble Sale at Haslingfield Village Hall. The event will raise money for Save the Children to support their efforts in the refugee camps across Europe.
The day will include: Food from Provenance Kitchen ~ Live music ~ Mulled wine and mince pies ~ Cake stall ~ Raffle ~ Craft Table ~ Jumble sale of children’s clothes, toys and equipment ~ Face painting, and more.

There’s a planned power cut that will affect 29 properties in the village this Tuesday 1st December. The power will go off at 9am and should be back on by noon. The village shop and post office is one of the affected properties and this will affect what the post office can do, but the shop will remain open. UK Power Networks have told this website that if you haven’t received a letter about the planned power cut, then you electricity will stay on. In an update they said that the notified time of 1pm to 4pm has changed to 9am until noon. It’s needed to upgrade some equipment.
