Update on Full Fibre in Haslingfield
This is to update you on the progress for the Full Fibre Project in Haslingfield to date.
Firstly, thanks for your pre-order and support on the project, it is great that you can all see the benefit in having the next generation of broadband brought to the village.
As it currently stands we are approximately 75% to the target, in the last month there has been 25 pre-orders submitted, if we keep this rate up we should meet the required threshold for Haslingfield in January/February. We also have a progress update personalised advert going into the village magazines January print, which should help get the project over the line. Read more

High Speed Broadband Update
Over the last two weeks we’ve seen a big increase in the number of pre orders, putting the village within touching distance of the target required to green light the project.
Although this is great news, we still need as many people as possible to register for the service actually to make it a reality. If you’ve signed up for the service already please spread the word to your neighbours, friends and family. And if you’re interested and haven’t signed up as of yet, please head over to www.countybroadband.co.uk and enter your post code.

Skatepark Closure
Due to government covid-19 restrictions, the skatepark and basketball court will need to close until at least 2nd December.
Christmas Market in Haslingfield
Due to Covid restrictions the annual outdoor Christmas Market has been moved to Saturday 5th December. This is a very good opportunity to support local groups and companies and may be one of the few chances to buy your Christmas presents this year. See: Haslingfield_outdoor_Christmas_2020_Poster

Playground Closure (temporary)
The playground will be closed next week (from Sunday 1st November at sunset) for essential maintenance and repairs. We are planning to re-open the playground again on Saturday morning 7th November.
Important roadworks information – M11 Hall Farm bridge maintenance
Please find important information from Highways England regarding the footbridge over the M11 between Coton and University site along Madingley Road. This bridge will be closed from Monday 2 November until Friday 18 December.

Notice to Residents from the Parish Clerk
Monday 19 October all day from 08.30am.
Shire Trees will be cutting back the tree branches that are overhanging the road alongside the tennis courts in New Road. This is following a complaint from the School Bus Drivers.
They don’t anticipate that the road will be closed for the works.
