Haslingfield Little Theatre are delighted to announce that their 2024 panto will be The Golden Goose, an exciting original production by Little Theatre member, Philippa Smith. The show will be performed from 21 to 23 November 2024 at Haslingfield Village Hall and will be full of songs, dances, fun and laughter!

You will be entertained at the hilarious wedding of Penelope and Darren with their family and friends, so what can go wrong? Maybe the small matter of a MURDER! Enter Detective Lorgaire ready to interview the suspects. But it is you the guests who will consider the clues and decide who has committed the crime, while enjoying a piece of wedding cake. Sunday, June 16th 10.30 am: Short, guided walk to this historic and rare chalk grassland. A County Wildlife Site, it is one of only two sites in the area with records of Man Orchids. Led by Parish Councillor Clive Blower, who has volunteered with the Wildlife Trust over a number of years to look after this site. You’ll also see bee orchids, twayblades, and common spotted orchids, as well as other chalk grassland wildflowers, and hear about the history of the area and how it relates to some of the University of Cambridge Colleges. Option to walk to the top of the chalk hill with spectacular views over Cambridge. Read more

Thanks to the generous contributions and legacies from villagers and our congregation, All Saints’ Church has been able to start the first phase of high level restoration work in the Nave. Grants towards this work were received from The Cambridgeshire Historic Churches Trust (£3,000) and The Benefact Trust (£4,000). Read more

Haslingfield’s very first Repair Café on February 18th at the Village Hall was a great success and got us featured on the front page of the Cambridgeshire Repair Cafe Network newsletter. We had a go at repairing 48 items – from a toy drone to an electric piano keyboard, from a broken bracelet to two shirts with frayed collars. Read more
The Haslingfield and Harlton Eco Group has entered its fourth year of existence and approved its latest report at its AGM on March 5th 2024. You can view the report, outlining all of the group’s activities over the past two years, on the About page of their website at https://www.hheco.co.uk.
The group is also announcing a new, regular meetup. Between April 19th 2024 and October 18th 2024, they will be holding informal, social meetings at the Hare and Hounds Pub on the 3rd Friday of every month. Read more
