Charity Fair – 19 November, 11.00 am-2.30 pm, Haslingfield Methodist Church
It looks as though this year’s Charity Fair will be as good as ever. 15 National and Local charities will be having stalls where you can buy your Christmas cards, books, Christmas Puddings, preserves, gifts, plants etc. 3 of these charities are new to our fair. During the day, delicious homemade food will be available, including light lunches. Something for everyone!
A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO DO SOME EARLY CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WHILE FINDING OUT ABOUT THE GREAT WORK DONE BY THESE CHARITIES.

Peter Pan Tickets Available Now!
Tickets are now available for Haslingfield Little Theatre’s next production: Peter Pan – the original play by JM Barrie. Performances will take place at Haslingfield Village Hall on Thursday 24 November, Friday 25 November and Saturday 26 November. Children in the audience are very welcome to dress up as their favourite Peter Pan character.
UPDATE AT 4 NOVEMBER: Matinee tickets are now SOLD OUT, and Friday evening performance – ONE TICKET LEFT in Haslingfield Village Shop. Tickets still available for Thursday and Saturday night performances.

New Parish Councillors
I am delighted to inform you that we have been successful in attracting three new Parish Councillors: Peter Agar from New Road, Clive Blower from Trinity Close, Tricia Knibbs from the High Street. We welcome them all to the team and are confident that they will all make a valuable contribution to the village.

Community Bid to Buy the Hare and Hounds – Harlton
As you may be aware, the Hare and Hounds in our neighbouring village of Harlton closes at the end of October. There is a community effort underway to keep it going. Cream Tea at the Dovecote
Thank you to all who supported our recent cream teas in The Dovecote orchard at Haslingfield. The final total was a wonderful £747, for Parkinson’s UK research fund and the Cambridge Branch of Parkinson’s UK to help with the funding for the support and therapy groups and for the Parkinson’s nurses both in the community and at Addenbrookes Hospital. Vacancies in Local Schools – Caterers, Catering Assistants and Cleaners
Guidance Group are currently working with Cambridgeshire Catering and Cleaning Services to provide them with Caterers (Cooks), Catering assistants and cleaning staff. They currently have a number of jobs available in Haslingfield and the surrounding villages. These jobs are initially temporary contracts with the opportunity to move to permanent contracts. They would like to attract local candidates for these roles, which will suit a flexible lifestyle. Read more

Charity Fair Saturday 19th November 11.00am – 2.30pm Haslingfield Methodist Church
Autumn is now with us and the shops are full of Christmas goods. Instead of getting caught up in all the hustle and bustle in Cambridge, come to our local Charity Fair where you will be able to buy your Christmas cards and gifts in a warm, friendly atmosphere while enjoying home-made refreshments. 15 different charities will be there and Father Christmas has agreed to spend the day with us and would like to meet all the children. Remember the true meaning of Christmas and help those less fortunate than us!
‘Flu Vaccination Clinic – Harston Surgery
The‘Flu vaccination clinic for Harston surgery patients on will be held in the Methodist Church on Thurs 20th October 2016 from 2.15 – 3.00pm. Forms are available at the Village Shop. Please sign up before 17th October.
“Cash for CamSight”
We are very grateful to the people who have been keeping their loose change for CamSight. This has recently amounted to £49.81. If you have a jar of small change, perhaps you might like to give it to CamSight at any time during the year and these donations could be added to the amounts raised. Read more
CamSight House-to-House Collection
Thank you to everyone who supported the collection in June. £369.54 was collected in Harlton and £1,221 in Haslingfield, making a grand total of £1,591.43. In addition, a further £200 will be added as the result of kind people Gift Aiding their donation – this is an increase of £100! A special “Thank You” to our brilliant collectors. Read more

If you do not already have your tickets for Saturday’s Ceilidh at All Saints’ Church, you will be able to buy them on the door. Don’t miss out on a great evening’s candle-lit entertainment!
