It is with great sadness that we announce that Maureen Mabey passed away peacefully with her family at Addenbrook’s Hospital on 31st March at the age of 93.
Maureen lived in Haslingfield for 50 years and was deeply involved in the community and supporting All Saints’ Church. Maureen was a professional artist and produced many drawings of Haslingfield, including the famous ‘Haslingfield Map’ and the design for the Village Sign. The family gives its heartfelt thanks to all the people who have helped and supported Maureen over the years so she could keep living independently at home, which was her greatest wish.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday 10th May at 2:30pm at All Saints’ Church, Haslingfield.
It was Maureen’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations (no flowers please) to any of the causes she supported;
– Sight Savers
– Smile Train
– Water Aid
– Farm Africa
