Haslingfield’s ancient clunch pit, used in medieval times for building materials for some of the colleges as well as All Saints Church, is now a rare chalk grassland rich in wildflowers, including at least four species of orchid. Join this guided walk, led by Clive Blower, which is part of the Cambridge Nature Festival (https://www.cambridgeppf.org/Event/cambridge-nature-festival) to learn more of the history of this special area and how to identify the orchids.
Haslingfield Little Theatre are all set to welcome everyone to Haslingfield Village Hall next week (18, 19, 20 May, 7.30 pm) for their fast-paced, witty, poignant comedy: Spirit Level by Pam Valentine. Would you like to have an input to the design and layout of the skatepark? Are there things you would like to see, or be incorporated within the design? Then now is your chance to get involved!
There will be a Design and Consultation session on Thursday 25th May 4-7pm in the Methodist Church. Members from the Parish Council and building contractors, Betongpark, will be there to share the current draft plans for the layout out (see image attached) and answer any questions you may have on details for the build.
The new skate park will be a huge asset to the community for many generations to come, so it’s very important to the Parish Council that we have an area that caters for all ages, abilities and will stand the test of time, so we’d really love to have your input.

You are cordially invited to join your friends and neighbours on Sunday 7th May for Haslingfield’s Big Coronation Picnic, at the Wellhouse Meadow picnic area from 12 – 3 pm. It’s a bring your own picnic, with refreshments by Little Owls Preschool.

Haslingfield Little Theatre are absolutely delighted to announce that on Sunday 16 April they were awarded Best Pantomime for their November 2022 show: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. The award was given by NODA East District 4S (National Operatic and Dramatic Association). www.haslingfieldlittletheatre.co.uk
On Saturday April 22nd fifteen local groups and organisations will be contributing to a Fair in Haslingfield Village Hall. Doors will be open between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
This will be your chance to see the variety of activities going on in Haslingfield, and perhaps to sign up and join in. Sport, entertainment, music-making, gardening and a host of other pastimes will be represented.
So if you are interested, or just curious, do pop in and see us on April 22nd. Tea and coffee will be available.
