Haslingfield Village Society Talk – Tuesday 17th January 2023, 8.00pm, Haslingfield Village Hall

So you think you know Switzerland   Speaker:  Edmund Brookes
Think of Switzerland and you immediately think of the Matterhorn, the Eiger, St Moritz and Cuckoo Clocks.  There is much more to Switzerland; there are plenty of lakes and mountains but many are off the normal tourist routes, with splendid vistas and stunning sites where trains and Post Buses do not venture.  With a little careful planning all are readily accessible.  The picture is a teaser, but just 20 miles from St Moritz and 1000 feet above the valley floor!  All will be revealed!

Village Society talks are open to all and we look forward to welcoming you.
Entrance: members, students, children free; visitors £2.50 – includes coffee/biscuits

M11 evening closure – Monday 28 November to Wednesday 30 November 2022

National Highways plan to carry out essential surveys to assess the condition of the road on the M11 between junction 13 (Girton) and junction 14 (A1303 Madingley Road overbridge).  They plan to complete this work over 3 nights from Monday 28 November to Wednesday 30 November between 8pm and 6am, weather permitting.

To carry out the work safely, they will need to close the M11 southbound between junction 13 and 14.

Whilst this closure is in place, traffic will be diverted off the M11 at junction 14 onto the A14 to take the junction 32 exit and return westbound on the A14 / A428. Exit the A428 at Scotland Road Interchange and return on the A428 eastbound before taking the A1303 exit slip and following the A1303 to re-join the M11 southbound at junction 13.
