All Saints’ Church is holding a ‘Gift and Open Morning’ on Saturday 29th October, between 10am-1pm when the church will be open for visitors to make donations, make suggestions or just come and explore our beautiful building. Do drop in for refreshments; we will have bacon sandwiches on offer, along with coffee and cake! There will also be stalls as in previous years. It’s an opportunity to meet those who currently care for and work to improve your church and its local surroundings. It will be really good to see you and we would also love to hear your suggestions on how we might serve the village in new ways in the future.
Following our Gift Day, everyone is warmly invited to our All Saint’s Celebration service the following morning at 10.30am.Read more

Halloween is on Monday the 31st October, however some of you may be having Halloween parties over the weekend.
We encourage responsible behaviour so please be mindful of where your children trick or treat; and always ensure they remain safe. Remember…
Stay with an adult at all times while trick or treating
Visit neighbours and people that you know
Look out for pumpkins – houses that welcome trick or treaters usually have pumpkins on display
Some people do not enjoy being scared by spooky costumes. If you see a “no trick or treat” sign respect it and move on to the next house.
Most importantly… stay safe and have fun! Read more

The City of London Police, in partnership with Get Safe Online, has put together a National Cyber Crime Survey. Its purpose is to learn about people’s awareness of online safety and experiences of cybercrime, with a view to improve our knowledge and understanding and to help provide a better response to victims. The results will help police forces gain a better idea of the challenges they are facing. If you have a spare 15 minutes, we would be grateful if you could complete a short questionnaire. The South Cambridgeshire District Council is undertaking a community governance review of the parish of Haslingfield because the new housing development at Trumpington Meadows will alter the geographical spread of housing across the parish. The resulting spatial separation between the two population centres will no longer correspond to a parish boundary that reflects a natural settlement pattern. So Have your say or comment in the Haslingfield Parish community governance review. Consultation will close on 14th November.
