The Haslingfield Allotment Gardeners Association (HAGA) is holding its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 11th December in the Little Rose Pub in the village from 7.30pm. We are looking for new members and anyone interested in helping with the allotments. The site is currently fully occupied and no waiting list. Anyone with green fingers is welcome. Sigh! Winter can be gloomy enough without having to look out your window at a dull, uninteresting garden. Help is at hand! “PLANTS FOR WINTER INTEREST” is the presentation by Peter Jackson of Scotsdale Garden Centre, on Tuesday 27 November in the Village Centre at 8PM.

The tennis club quiz night is taking place on Saturday 10th November at Haslingfield Village Hall. A fish and chip supper is provided at the break (or a vegetarian option) at £7.50 per person. Haslingfield Little Theatre’s November 2012 show will be Alice in Wonderland. We are reading through the play on Tuesday 10 July at 7.45 p.m. in Haslingfield Village Hall, with auditions being held the following Monday 16 July – same time, same place. Read more
A rare event.On 7th July, International harpist, Robin Ward will be playing his own handcrafted triple harp in the beautiful surroundings of Haslingfield Parish Church. Robin’s talent, combined with his engaging and informative performance approach, is a treat not to be missed. His programme will include a wide variety of music from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods, and from Folk Traditions, with a combination of his own transcriptions and music originally written for the instrument; for a flavour of it, go to http://uk.youtube.com/user/seb25arpa .
