We are looking for an actor to play a key role in our panto, Treasure Island on 23, 24 & 25 November: Jim (the Cabin Boy). Ideally aged between 17 & 24, Jim will play opposite Laura (a serving girl in the Inn owned by Jim’s mother, Dame Trott). These characters feature prominently throughout the show and Jim is not required to sing or dance.

Haslingfield Little Theatre will be staging the traditional family pantomime Treasure Island on 23, 24, 25 November at Haslingfield Village Hall.
Rehearsals commence on Monday, September 4 and the director is eager to fill three remaining parts to complete the cast of 30 led by Robert Louis Stevenson’s popular sea-dog Long John Silver. Haslingfield Little Theatre will be hosting the award-winning Festival Players at Haslingfield Village Hall at 7.30 pm on Friday 24 February. The touring show, The Rhythm of Life comprises an evening of musical theatre songs that show the spectrum of life’s big moments, including music from Sweet Charity, Godspell, Avenue Q and many more, performed by some of Cambridge’s best musical theatre talents.
Our Spring Show will be Michael Cooney’s hilarious farce, Cash on Delivery, which will be performed on 18, 19 & 20 May.
If you are interested in being involved, either on-stage or as part of our Production Team, do come along to the read-through of the script (Monday, 6 Feb, 7.30 pm) and/or auditions (Thursday, 9 Feb, 7.30 pm) at Haslingfield Village Hall. Haslingfield Young Little Theatre Play in a Week is back again after a long gap due to the pandemic. The project will take place from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm in Haslingfield Village Hall from Monday 1st August to 5th August, when the play will be performed to an audience.
This year, Play in a Week is open to all children between 8 and 11, regardless of prior drama experience. Throughout the week the participants will imagine, write, design and rehearse a play in their own words. This year Matt May, an experienced youth theatre facilitator regularly working for the National Youth Arts Trust, will be leading the week. Read more
