The scheme helps people who don’t have access to a car to get to medical appointments and other essential visits. As a volunteer driver you are completely in control of how much – or how little – driving you do. You provide details of your general availability to the Scheme Coordinator (Lawrence Hopkins), and when the Coordinator contacts you by phone or e-mail to ask if you can do a particular drive, you can say Yes or No – no pressure is applied! Adding to the festivities of the Scarecrow Festival The Little Rose has organised a Gin & Beer Festival running from Friday 14th Sept. to Sunday 16th Sept., with Live Music on Friday and Saturday and food served from 12 to 9 pm. 20 gins, 10 beers, 4 ciders. Better not sample them all!

Suggested themes are characters from Roald Dahl or Agatha Christie – or choose your own ideas.
