A Horrible History of Bells and Bellringing The talk will cover the history of bells from ancient times through to the modern day and the peculiar set of circumstances that led to the English art of change ringing.
Tom Ridgman will discuss the tensions between secular ringing, ringing for entertainment and/or money, and ringing as part of the mission of the church, particularly the activities of the Belfry Reform movement in the 1860’s that lead to the organisational structure of bell ringing today. Read more

From week beginning 18 September 2023 many residents will have a change to their bin collections. In Haslingfield, this means that bin collection day is changing from Wednesdays to Thursdays.
All residents need to be aware that because new bin collection routes are being created from scratch the time that their bin is emptied may be different from now, so bins need to be ready for collection by 6am.
We are very sad to announce the passing of David Lewis, 21 July 1936 – 31 July 2023.
David and his wife Margy retired and moved to Haslingfield 20 years ago and he enjoyed being on the All Saints church team and singing with the Village Choir.
The funeral will be held at All Saints’ Church on Tuesday 22 August at 11.30 am.
A new dancing course is starting on September 12th to either improve or maintain your fitness. This is a beginner’s course although any level can participate.
