Film Club

movie-cameraThe next Film Club will be at 7.30pm on Friday 13th June 2014 in the Haslingfield Methodist Church Rooms.  Admission is free.  Running time 130 min., Certificate 12 and subtitles for the ‘Hard of Hearing’.  We shall break for tea/coffee and biscuits half way through and there will be a collection to cover refreshments and use of the rooms.

Faith To Live By

The next guest speaker in our Faith To Live By series of services at Haslingfield Methodist Church will be led by Revd Robert Dolman on Sunday 8th June 2014.  His address is entitled: ‘Primitive Physic and its Implications for Christian Lifestyle Today’.   The evening will involved a short service, and address, refreshments and an informal discussion.  Everyone welcome. Trumpington Meadows Country Park

 Preview Tour

T M Country ParkTrumpington Meadows Country Park will be opening in September 2014.  Here is your chance to have a sneak preview of this wonderful new facility on our doorstep.  A guided walking tour of the site will take place for interested people from the surrounding parishes on Wed 18th June 2014, 6.30-8pm.

Places are limited on first come first served basis, and participants must be able to walk over uneven ground for up to 3 miles.   To book a space on the walk, please contact vicky.hathrell@cambridge.gov.uk,  or phone: 01223 847433 .  This walk is not suitable for small children.

Thanksgiving for Marriage

weddingThe Parish Church invites you to a service of Thanksgiving for Marriage on Sunday June 15th at 10.30am.   We also want to thank Christine Tod for a faithful ministry of over 40 years of preparing flowers in the church for weddings.

For those of you who wish, there will  be an opportunity to make a quiet renewal of your marriage vows.  This invitation is for all – whether you are married or not and whether you were married in our village church or not.  Please bring a wedding photo or even an album so we can put them out on tables for other to see while we enjoy appropriate refreshment.

Holiday Club for Children

A Holiday Club for Primary Aged Children will be held at the Methodist Church from May 26th to 30th (mornings only) and led by John Hardwick an experienced leader, and entitled: ‘Cops and Robbers’ based on the story of Joseph.  Anyone who is willing to help for all or part of the week, Please contact Elsie or Phyllis Salmon at the Methodist Church.
