Haslingfield Little Theatre receives two Award Nominations

HLT LOGO (2) jpgIn May 2014, we performed 84 Charing Cross Road – the wonderful true-life play about a New York writer and her London bookseller. We are delighted to announce that the National Operatic and Dramatic Association East Region (NODA) have nominated us for two awards: Best Play 2014, and Best Technical 2014 for Sets and Props.

BLUE SKIES BIG BAND comes to Haslingfield – in aid of the Ebola Crisis Fund

Band PhotoOn Saturday 28 February, the Blue Skies Big Band will be performing in Haslingfield Village Hall in association with Haslingfield Little Theatre. The concert is in aid of the Ebola Crisis Fund, will feature a wide range of Swing, Dixie and popular Jazz music from the 15-piece band. Doors open at 7.30 p.m. with concert starting at 8.00 p.m. There will be a bar, but please bring your own “nibbles”. Wine & Cheese Evening at Haslingfield Primary School – sponsored by Waitrose

wine and cheeseYou are warmly invited to a wine and cheese evening, sponsored by Waitrose, at Haslingfield Primary School on 5 February 2015 at 7.30 p.m. A Waitrose sommelier will talk us through a variety of wines and of course there will be plenty of tasting! A light buffet of cheese, crackers and fruit is also included in the ticket price. Please join us for what will be a great early Valentines evening or a night out with friends.

Tickets available in advance from the school office, or by email to ptfahaslingfield@gmail.com, at £10 each. All proceeds to benefit the school swimming pool which offers pupils weekly swimming lessons and after school swimming clubs during the summer term.

Haslingfield Little Owls Pre-school – Annual Jumble Sale

Little Owls Preschool LogoThe Haslingfield Little Owls Pre-school Annual Jumble Sale will take place on Saturday 24th January at 2pm in Haslingfield Village Hall. Please bring any items of jumble to the hall on the day from 10.30-12.30 (no electrical items please).

                                                      Come along and grab some bargains plus enjoy the delicious Little Owls Café.

Play Trail Appeal for Haslingfield School

Many of the outdoor play facilities at Haslingfield Primary School are in disrepair, this is of particular concern given the emphasis on outdoor activity in the new Physical Education curriculum. As Government funding for Cambridgeshire schools is notoriously low the PTFA is working with Ms. Peck (Leading Senior Teacher and PE Coordinator) to raise money for a new outdoor play facility called a Play Trail. Charity Fair – Thank you

Charity FairA massive “Thank You” to everyone who supported the Fair. We have just heard from all the charities, and can now let you know that the total raised was £2,386.00!!

We are fortunate to live in such a caring community.  The money will be put to good use by all the charities.

Haslingfield Primary School Christmas Fayre – 5th December

Christmas Fayre poster4The Haslingfield Primary School Christmas Fayre is on Friday 5th December
from 3.30pm – 5.30pm at Haslingfield Primary School.

There’s a lot going on: Stalls, games,crafts, live music from the school brass band, a cafe serving hot drinks and delicious cakes and of course a visit from Santa himself!
