oasisOasis Holiday at Home for Seniors is to be held again this year at the Methodist Church, Tuesday 28th to Thursday 30th July.  As before there will be a full range of activities and interests, so please spread the word and make a note in your diaries.  Watch this space for further information.

Women’s World Day of Prayer

Haslingfield Methodist ChurchEcumenical Service at Haslingfield Methodist Church, Friday 6 March at 6.30 am.  The service has been written by women of the Bahamas.  Everyone is invited to join us, including the men!

Charity Fair – Thank you

Charity FairA massive “Thank You” to everyone who supported the Fair. We have just heard from all the charities, and can now let you know that the total raised was £2,386.00!!

We are fortunate to live in such a caring community.  The money will be put to good use by all the charities.

Charity FairKEEP AN HOUR FREE for the Charity Fair at Haslingfield Methodist Church this Saturday 15th November, 11.00am -2.30pm.

18 National and Local charities will have stalls selling a variety of items – candles, produce, books, gifts, Christmas Cards etc. You will also have the chance to win a hand-made quilt. A special visitor will be MEG, a Guide Dog for the Blind, who has changed her owner’s life! Delicious home-made refreshments will be available throughout the event. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

 Film running time 95min, Certificate U.  There will be subtitles for the hard of hearing and a break for refreshments halfway through.  To avoid having a fixed charge for each evening we have opted (for copyright reasons) not to advertise details of the films publicly.   As an alternative we ask for a donation from those attending to cover the cost of the film, tea, ground coffee, biscuits and use of the room.  Please invite friends and let me know if you would like to be included on the email list for details of forthcoming films.

Faith To Live By service

SONY DSCOn the evening of Sunday 12th October at 6.30pm we will be pleased to welcome at the Methodist Church our guest speaker Baroness Kathleen Richardson and her title is ‘Is there a Christian case for assisted dying?’  She will talk about the bill on this topic currently being discussed in the House of Lords.  There will be a short time or worship, an address, refreshments and discussion.  Everyone welcome.
