Next Village Society Visit

Docwras_Manor_18_century_crop_webDocwra’s Manor Garden, Shepreth, on Thursday 23rd July 2015

Faith Raven has kindly made arrangements for us to visit out of normal opening hours.  It is well worth taking the opportunity to see this delightful garden, in its historic setting.

“Docwra’s Manor is the home of Faith Raven and is in the village of Shepreth.  The garden is a narrow section of land between the A10 main road from London to Cambridge and the King’s Cross to Cambridge railway line.  Here there is a garden oasis.  An old farmyard has been converted into a series of enclosures, overflowing with plants.  The old farmyard walls have been extended by hedges of yew, beech, lilac and cordon apples to separate different areas, each with an individual character.”

We will arrive at 11.00am and our visit will take approximately 1 to 1½ hours.

The cost is £7 for Village Society members and £9 for non members.

Please contact Jennifer Staples 01223 871518 staples543@btinternet.com  for full details and availability.
