THIS SATURDAY Keep an Hour Free for the Charity Fair
KEEP AN HOUR FREE for the Charity Fair at Haslingfield Methodist Church this Saturday 15th November, 11.00am -2.30pm.
18 National and Local charities will have stalls selling a variety of items – candles, produce, books, gifts, Christmas Cards etc. You will also have the chance to win a hand-made quilt. A special visitor will be MEG, a Guide Dog for the Blind, who has changed her owner’s life! Delicious home-made refreshments will be available throughout the event. HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

Magpas Helimedix (Emergency medical charity) – Selling bric-a-brac, books and jigsaws.
Operation Christmas Child – Sending gift-filled shoeboxes to needy children abroad
Arthur Rank Hospice – Selling Christmas puddings, Christmas cards and gifts
Little Owls Pre-school – Selling aloe vera based products..
Menelik Education Ltd – selling Congolese hand-made crafts
Action for Children – selling AFC merchandise, Christmas cards and diaries. Promoting projects in Cambridge
Traidcraft – Selling grocery items, cards and crafts
Stillbirth Research – Selling home-produced goods
Motor Neurone Disease Association – Selling hand-made cards and calendars.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (searching for a cure for Type 1 diabetes) – Selling cushions
Project Linus – Raffling a quilt and making “premature baby” quilts at the fair.
Save the Children – Selling gifts, handmade articles, children’s books etc
Mercy Ships – Selling Christmas cards, books and teddies.
UNCLE (supporting children in Nepal) – Selling genuine Pashminas from Nepal.
Guide dogs for the Blind – Meg (guide dog) will be “helping” to raise awareness. Variety of items will be on sale
Leprosy Mission – Raffle
Turning Point Trust (working with children in Kibera slum, Kenya) – Selling small gifts
