17th May – Haslingfield and Harlton Repair Café, Harlton Village Hall, 1–5pm. Our third repair café, this time at Harlton. Free repairs of electronics, textiles, household items and jewellery. Book your item: haslingfieldrepaircafe@gmail.com
6th June – Intermediate Scything Course, Wellhouse Meadow, 10am–2pm. Full-day course for those who have scythed before and wish to develop their skills further.
14th June – Guided Rare Orchid Walk to Haslingfield Quarry, 10am–12pm. Clive Blower leads our annual walk to the County Wildlife Site. Meet at the bottom of Quarry Lane.
14th June – Family Fun Day in Nature, Wellhouse Meadow, 3–6pm. Pizza making (small charge), insect sweeping and ID, wildflower walks, art activities, and a ‘Rain Lab’.
28th June – Family Picnic and Pond Exploration Party, 12.30–3pm. A local resident is opening her garden – home to rare Great Crested Newts – for a picnic and wildlife observation event. Write to hnheco@gmail.com to register.
5th July – Screening of The People’s Emergency Briefing, Haslingfield Village Hall, 6.30–9pm. A 48-minute film featuring nine leading UK scientists on climate, nature, food security, health and economics, followed by discussion.
Monthly pub socials continue at the Harlton Hare and Hounds, 3rd Friday of each month at 8pm. All welcome!
