The parish council should have paid the legal fees for this transfer. We owned part of the land and the parish council the rest. Unfortunately they planted some trees and they put them on our land so we decided to donate our piece. (Mrs. Long knew about this (sorry I don’t know if she is still in the village). If you require any further information our telephone no. is 01945585440.
Hi Shirley
I have spoken to the Parish Clerk and she is aware of the land in question but cannot find anything in archives that the land was donated to the council. As it is 20 year ago, we don’t have parish councillors that go back that long. Can you provide more information for the parish to investigate? We can then assess what we will do with the land.

Over 20 years ago we donated some land to be used as a conservation area half way up Chapel Hill. The site it derelict and it should have been for the public to use. There is a gate there and trees were planted. Can this not be tidied up again for public use?

We believe the transfer took place in the 1970’s

We have just been discussing the above and we think the transfer could have taken place in the 1970’s
