TICKETS NOW ON SALE: 84 Charing Cross Road
You can now buy your tickets for Haslingfield Little Theatre’s latest production: 84 Charing Cross Road, which is being performed on 15, 16 and 17 May at 7.45 p.m. at Haslingfield Village Hall.
This wonderful, warm, moving play follows the true correspondence between an outspoken and wise-cracking New York writer (Helene Hanff), and a rather more staid and proper antiquarian bookseller in London (Frank Doel); this contrasting couple being drawn together through their mutual love of literature. The play spans a twenty-year period – from 1949 post-war Britain to the end of the “swinging sixties”.
