New Jazz Venue

Following the demise of Haslingfield Jazz, another venue is planned at Whittlesford.  This is to be run by a group who regularly supported Haslingfield and a close friend of John Cherry (banjo/guitar), Peter Johnson.  Peter (and his group) can be contacted at whittlesfordjazz@ymail.com

The format is to be very similar, with the same range of artistes, but starting at 7.30pm.   The first event is: Friday 24 February in the Whittlesford Village Hall, which is also large enough for dancing:

Time: 7.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. (doors open at 7.00 p.m.)
Tickets/Entrance Fee: £8.50

Please bring your own refreshments and glasses

The first line up is John Crocker, Mike Cotton and Roy Williams (supported by the usual rhythm players).   

To help keep jazz alive in the Cambridge area, it is planned to hold this event on the 4th Friday of every month. Future dates are: Friday 30th March, Friday 27 April.
