You have probably noticed a lot of work has been carried out on the tennis courts over the past few months. We have built an extra court to allow more people to play tennis, and installed floodlights on two of them so that anyone who wants to, can continue to play tennis throughout the year. The work is now almost finished and the Tennis Club invites everyone to a Grand Opening Event on Sunday 22nd May. Read more
The village Tennis Club is having a quiz night on Saturday 19th March, it will start at 8pm. Entry will be £20 per team and teams should be a maximum of 8. Numbers will be limited and so please contact the club (Gail_rutherford@hotmail.com) to reserve a place for your team as soon as possible. If you would like to take part but haven’t got enough for a team, please do let the club know and they’ll try to pair you up with some others. Remember, all friends and family welcome.
There will be prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd teams, and there will be a raffle. There will also be nibbles and the Little Rose will be providing a bar on the night.
On Sunday 5th July, from noon onwards, the Village Summer Fun Day will be held in Haslingfield Village Hall and Recreation Ground. There will be Sports, Live Music, a Dance Workshop, BBQ, Bar and more. Ticket price will be £2.50, to include a burger or hot dog. Proceeds will go to Little Owls Preschool and the Tennis Club. Haslingfield Lawn Tennis Club is holding its Opening Event this Sunday 13th April at 10:30am on the Tennis Courts
There will be tennis and refreshments everyone is welcome – please come along!
The Haslingfield Lawn Tennis Club is a friendly club for tennis players of all ages and abilities. We have two hard courts located on the recreation ground near the Village Hall. We run coaching sessions in the spring, summer and autumn for which membership is not required. We field teams in the LTA tennis leagues and organise a number of social events throughout the year.
On Sunday 22nd September the Tennis Club presented “Tea at The Ritz” in the Village Hall. The Village Hall was transformed into the Parlour of The Ritz Hotel, and 76 guests enjoyed a 3-course High Tea of sandwiches, scones with jam and cream followed by a huge selection of delicious home baked cakes. Haslingfield Lawn Tennis Club is holding its Annual Barbeque this Sunday 1st September 2013 at Haslingfield Village Hall. 1pm for 1.30pm start. Open to non-members as well as members.
Please come along and support your tennis club on this social occasion. All food is being supplied by the Country Kitchen co-operative with the fare consisting of kebabs, sausages and burgers for both meat lovers and vegetarians.
