Come and help Sue, the Landlady of the Little Rose, celebrate her birthday on Saturday 4th November. The singing Duo of Dance Til Dawn will be performing live and free at the Little Rose from 8pm. So why not pop into the pub after the village fireworks and pass on your birthday wishes whilst enjoying some live music.
This Friday 27th October sees the next Little Rose Pub Quiz, which takes place on the last Friday of every month. Teams of any number, up to a maximum of six, can take part. Cost of entry is only £10 per team with all the entry fees given out as cash prizes. First Question asked at 8pm. Just turn up on the night or book in advance. We can also make up teams from whoever turns up on the night. The quiz now takes place on the last Friday of every month. It’s great fun with a good number of all local teams taking part. There’s 6 rounds covering many topics including a topical quiz round as well as a picture round. The quiz finishes around 10pm with a break halfway through.
The Little Rose, the last pub in the village, is holding a free Children’s Halloween Party on Saturday 28th October from 5.30pm until 7.30pm. It’s a fancy dress party and there’s prizes for the best outfit.
Later in the evening, there will be a special Halloween disco for adults from 8.30pm until late. Music will be from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
The Little Rose, the last remaining pub in Haslingfield, is restarting Sunday Lunches from 22nd October for TWO weeks only. They cost £5-95 for adults and £3-95 for children. There’s a choice of meats and a vegetarian option. The pub is still offering food throughout the rest of the week. This August Bank Holiday Monday 28th August the Village Shop will be open from 8am until 4pm and the Post Office counter will be closed. The rest of the weekend sees the normal opening hours.
