New Bus Service from Trumpington P&R to Railway Station
A new Route ‘R’ bus service has been launched in Cambridge and will run on the Guided Busway with a five minute journey time.
The service will help reduce congestion into the city and offer a real alternative to those who travel by car to the rail station and its surrounding area each day.
The new service, launched on Tuesday 7 April 2015, will be operated by Stagecoach. The new ‘R’ service will run every 15 minutes at peak times – 6.00-9.30am and 4.45-8.45pm – during week days.
The cost of a daily return ticket is £3.20 and a weekly ticket is £13.50. Further savings can be made by purchasing four-weekly and monthly tickets online for £52 and £47.40 respectively. The new service will provide a cost-effective alternative commute, particularly for people who currently drive into Cambridge from the south and park at the railway station for up to £9.20 a day.
