A Haslingfield Village Society Double Bill
First on: Seven members of the Coding Club at Haslingfield Endowed Primary School have created a historical map of Haslingfield going back 200 years. The map uses a slider bar to switch between dates and places of interest through the years. See and hear from the creators themselves about their research and coding techniques.
We will then have a refreshment break.
Second on: Laurens Drost, a Haslingfield resident, will talk about A Historical Perspective of the Dutch in Europe. How did the Dutch get to be who they now are? Find out about the path that the speaker’s ancestors may have taken in the Low Countries from tribesmen during the Roman times, to the current inhabitants of one of the smaller countries in Europe.
Note: This is an open meeting, free to all. Tuesday, 19 March. 8:00PM, Haslingfield Village Hall
