Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Information Session: 11 May, Methodist Church

Age UK Cambridgeshire and Peterborough is our local independent charity working with, and for, older people across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. Their objectives are to help older people to maintain their independence, health and wellbeing by providing services that meet their individual needs.

On Thursday 11th May, from 2pm to 3pm, in the Methodist Church, there will be the opportunity to find out more about the Information and Advice Service that they offer.

Practical Services

Handyperson Service

Home help

Gardening

Factsheets and Booklets include subjects such as

Making a will

Finding and funding a Care Home

Powers of Attorney

Living with early-stage dementia

Attendance allowances

Going into hospital

One especially useful book is the” Life Book” in which you can record all sorts of useful details, from who insures your car to where you put the TV licence. Not only will it help you to be more organised but it could also be invaluable to a family member or a friend if they need to locate important information about you, in an emergency.
