The Little Rose Pub has recently won the Rural Community Pub of the Year Award from the Cambridge and District Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra). This is because of the way that the pub is rapidly becoming a focus of the village community since Neil and Sue Poole took charge of it in July last year. Camra cited things like the Parents and Todlers group that meets once a week there, Bingo, the Quiz, and wide variety of sports teams as well as special events like Christenings, Wakes, Live Music and Charity Fundraising Nights.
The Little Rose is family friendly and welcomes families with children of any age. The pub sells a wide range of Children’s meals for just £3-00 alongside a special selection of children’s drinks. As the village’s last pub is now a proper, true Freehouse, it serves a range of at least 3 real ales, plus the usual lagers, wines and spirits as well as Teas, Coffees and soft drinks.
Any village club, society or group are welcome to use the newly decorated Lounge bar for meetings or get togethers for free. Simply turn up when the pub is open and make yourself at home.
