THE HASLINGFIELD CHRONICLE, 1776-1900
After a gap of 28 years, the Village Society has reprinted The Haslingfield Chronicle. This book contains all the newsworthy items relating to the village that were printed in the Cambridge Chronicle between 1776 and 1900. Fires, murders, accidents, parties – they’re all there. There are also 19th century photos, maps and engravings. The Chronicle gives you a comprehensive view of life in Victorian Haslingfield. An ideal gift for anyone interested in local history, as well as for those who lived in the village and have now left.
The book is a bargain at £3.50. If you live in Haslingfield you can purchase copies from the Post Office, or you can collect from Maria Stringer (Telephone 01223 871256).
