Demand Responsive Transport (DRT)  is ideal for people living in rural areas with limited or no access to conventional public transport. Think of it as a mini-bus-on-demand service which aims to take passengers to locations where they can access other transport services. Haslingfield Needs YOU!

We feel that local residents should have more of a stake in their own roads, paths and verges, and can respond quickly when needed – in wintry weather, for example, when the main road gritting services may be at full stretch.

Cambridgeshire County Council is providing free training, equipment and insurance for parishes to run volunteer schemes to grit footpaths and cycleways not covered by the County Council’s gritters. Continue reading Winter Gritting Volunteers Required
