Olga has been a popular and dedicated contributor to the life of Haslingfield village for over forty years. Her skills have been widely offered to a diverse range of groups from brownies to the church and too many more to list in between.
Among those has been her service as a Parish Councillor and we cannot let her death pass without recording the debt we owe for her loyal and committed service. Always enthusiastic and determined to pursue decisions in the best interests of the community, Olga could be ultra persuasive when she felt it was required but was never anything other than respectful of other’s views. The importance of corporate responsibility and democracy were ingrained in her approach whether considering a planning application or checking on the condition of a footpath.
Current and former parish councillors alike will miss her as both a colleague and a friend. Our thoughts are with Barry and the family at this sad time.
