Haslingfield Colts FC’s New Goals have been unveiled. The team play in the Cambridge and District Colts League at Under 13’s Level in Division C. The new goals were shown to the team and supporters just before the Haslingfield Colts first home league game of the new season. The unveiling took place on Sunday 16th September just before the match against Godmanchester, which the Colts won 4-1. The club raised enough money to buy the new goals it needed for the new season. Haslingfield Parish Council gave the club £1,000, South Cambridgeshire District Council also gave the club £1,000 from its Community Chest fund and the Haslingfield based United Charities donated to the Colts £300. The club would like to thank all three organisations for their generousity. The club needed new goals because this season it’s playing 11-a-side football after playing 9-a-side all last season. This meant it needed bigger goals than the ones it was using up until the end of last season. But as it’s playing at Under 13’s level, full size goals would be too big.
