Haslingfield Parish Council is seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic person to fill the post of Parish Clerk and Responsible Finance Officer. The role is part-time and home based.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they have proven experience in administration and finance; and the ability to interface with the public and officialdom in a professional manner. Preferably they should have a working knowledge of local government law and procedures, or show they have the potential and willingness to learn with training. The role requires a competent computer user who is familiar with Word and Excel.
Hours of work are nominally 12 per week including evening meetings, although the nature of the work means that flexibility is essential as the hours will vary from week to week. Salary will be appropriate to experience on approved local government scales.
