Haslingfield Colts Under 12’s football team won their first game of the season, a friendly against Histon played on the Rec on Saturday 3rd September. The final score was Haslingfield 4 – 3 Histon. ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH FETE

Colts Football Season Gets Underway
Haslingfield Colts Under 12’s football team is the village’s own junior football team run by parents for children in the village and surrounding area. We play in the FA’s Cambridgeshire 9v9 Youth League, which is sponsored by BM Kemton Ltd and cup competitions against local teams. The FA Website shows the fixtures that we have coming up but these are also in the calendar for this web site.
Country Walks in Haslingfield
The County Council has recently sent through a 1:10000 map of the parish, showing all the registered footpaths in the Parish. So if you are thinking of going for a walk, its well worth downloading the map to see what’s available. More information about the map and how to get it are available under the Haslingfield menu.
Fun and Games at Haslingfield School
Given the current stress on sporting activity as an antidote to childhood obesity, it’s perhaps surprising that there is hardly any mention of organised games at Haslingfield School before 1920. The Head in 1923, Mr. Herbert Saunders, decided such activities were important, but for moral rather than physical reasons:
