glider1Haslingfield is fortunate in being only 20 minutes from one of the country’s premier gliding clubs, and we have several village residents who are club members.
Gliding is a form of flight that is both beautiful and exciting.  Nothing can quite match the thrill of flying silently, giving a birds-eye view over the surrounding countryside of Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and beyond.  Gliders from Gransden Lodge Airfield often fly two or three hundred miles on a good day.

Players Needed for New Under 10 Football

Haslingfield Colts FC is looking to start a new team for next season for youngsters aged Under 10. To play means that you have to be 10 years old or younger on September 1st 2013, or in Year 5 or Year 4 at school from this September. Annual Charity Big Bike Challenge Rides Through Haslingfield

This years ‘Cambridge News Big Bike Ride’ will be returning on June 23 and should provide something for everyone with three routes of differing length – a Bronze 12.5 miles, Silver 62 miles and Gold 100 miles.

The charity ride will start and finish at Netherhall School with the challenging silver ride following a scenic 62-mile route through Fulbourn, Bottisham, Reach, Stretham, Oakington, Toft, Hardwick and Haslingfield before turning back towards Cambridge through Shelford. Cambridge United ‘flabbergasted’ by opposition to new community stadium

Cambridge United and developers Grosvenor have vowed to fight on with plans for a new community stadium after being “flabbergasted” at their rejection by local authorities.

Haslingfield & Harlton Youth Club Bus Project – News

connectionsHaslingfield and Harlton Parish Councils  have now taken over all responsibilities for ‘The Connections Youth Bus’, to ensure that our young people continue to benefit from this very valuable facility.

If you have children (year 7 onwards) please encourage them to come along to Haslingfield Village Hall Car Park on a Wednesday after school (16.00 to 18.00) to enjoy the benefits accruing from the commitment of our Parish Council.
