{"id":3656,"date":"2011-09-22T19:31:16","date_gmt":"2011-09-22T19:31:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/haslingfieldvillage.co.uk\/wp\/?p=3656"},"modified":"2011-09-22T19:31:16","modified_gmt":"2011-09-22T19:31:16","slug":"have-your-say-yellow-lines-around-the-school","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/haslingfieldvillage.co.uk\/dev\/?p=3656","title":{"rendered":"Have Your Say: Yellow Lines Around The School"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Haslingfield \u00a0Parish Council minutes \u00a0this year (<a href=\"http:\/\/haslingfieldvillage.co.uk\/wp\/?cat=23\" target=\"_blank\">available on this site<\/a>) make several references to the idea of putting Yellow Lines on the road near the School.<!--more-->Some residents living near the School received a letter from the Parish Clerk dated 27th April 2011. This letter explained the problem as follows.<\/p>\n<p><em>Parking near the school at peak times has become a major issue with cars parked across drives and completely blocking footpaths forcing pedestrians onto the road at times when there is heavy traffic, also the school bus is often forced to double park because cars are parked in the lay-by.<\/em><\/p>\n<div>In June 2011 the PC minutes state:<\/div>\n<p><em><strong>13\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Yellow Lines around the school \u2013\u00a0<\/strong>decided to defer decision until the October meeting.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Alternatives to be considered.<strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Notice to go in C &amp; V and the school to be asked to request parents not to park in School Lane and to park on the village green side of the High St<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Since a decision may be imminent, now seems like a good time to bring up the subject on this web site.<\/p>\n<p>Do you know more about this?
