Please drop any items of jumble and unwanted Christmas presents to the Hall on the day between 10.30am and 12.30pm. No electrical items please. Little Owls Cafe will be serving tea and cakes during the jumble sale. Join us for a fabulous evening of delicious hearty food and live music. Inder’s Kitchen will provide a sumptuous Indian buffet of curry dishes and dips and our very own Tiffany Britton & John Lovegrove will be performing an eclectic set of favourite tunes. Pub Xmas Programme
Tonight, Saturday 10th December, sees a Charity Fund Raising Race Night at the Little Rose Pub. First race is at 8pm. Bets only 50p and no knowledge necessary as it’s all complete luck. All money raised goes to Haslingfield Play Group the Little Owls. It features video horse racing but may also include different kinds of racing! This is one of many events taking place throughout December in the village’s last pub. More details to the side.

Please join us for ‘A Night at the Opera’ at All Saints’ Church, Haslingfield in support of Little Owls Preschool. Jessica Lawrence-Hares (mezzo-soprano), Robert Haylett (baritone) and Olga Elbourn (piano) will present an evening of favourite opera classics. A fabulous and fun evening for the whole village is planned! We have the highly regarded Cambridge University Ceilidh Band and are thrilled to have our local caller, Bob Ridout, joining us. It will be in our beautiful All Saint’s Church on the 24th September from 8.30 – 10.30. There will be a licensed bar and we are lining up some great items for the silent auction, including a “Month of Cake” and a bottle of English whiskey and a tour of the distillery! Tomorrow, Saturday 21st November, from 3-7 pm there will be a Christmas Gift Event at the Little Rose. Elsa from Frozen will be there from 3.30 – 4.30pm to sing and read stories to your children.

This Friday 3 July from 5.30 pm to 7.00 pm the Annual Strawberry Fayre will take place at Haslingfield Methodist Church. As well as a buffet and barbecue, there will be stalls selling cakes, plants, produce and good quality used books. A representative from Guide Dogs for the Blind will be there with a puppy in training and she will have lots of small items to buy and a “Guess the name of the Guide Dog”. The proceeds will go to Guide Dogs for the Blind, Little Owls Preschool and the Methodist Church.
