University of Cambridge solar farm proposal

As you may have seen in recent press the University of Cambridge has committed to achieving a science-based zero carbon target for its estate by 2048.  As part of its efforts to achieve this target, the University is hoping to build a solar farm on land to the south east of the Lordsbridge Radio telescope, to provide low carbon electricity to service the University’s estate and significantly reduce their carbon emissions.  Ahead of a planning application being made hopefully later this year, they are launching a public consultation to obtain views and inform the scheme design.

More detail around the proposals and a short questionnaire can be found at: https://www.em.admin.cam.ac.uk/what-we-do/development-estate/planning-applications/proposed-solar-farm-near-lordsbridge-radio  They are looking to obtain views by the end of June ideally.
